Skin Sensation and Appearance: After your treatment, it’s perfectly normal for your skin to feel warm and perhaps a bit tingly, rather like a mild sunburn. You’ll likely notice some redness and slight swelling, and there may be small, pinpoint marks where the microneedles have done their work. A touch of bruising isn’t uncommon, particularly in more delicate areas.


Immediate Aftercare: We’ll provide you with specific aftercare products and detailed instructions for use at home.


Sun Protection: We cannot stress enough the importance of sun protection at this stage. Before you leave, we’ll remind you to avoid direct sunlight and apply a high-factor SPF sunscreen, which we can provide if needed.


Makeup and Activities: We advise against applying makeup for at least 24 hours post-treatment (exact details provided in your aftercare). It’s also best to avoid strenuous exercise, swimming, and excessive heat (such as saunas or hot showers) to allow your skin to heal properly.


Hydration: Keeping your skin well-hydrated is crucial for optimal results. We recommend drinking plenty of water and using the hydrating products we recommend.


Follow-up Care: Before you leave, we’ll schedule a follow-up appointment to monitor your progress and address any concerns you might have.


Return to Normal Activities: Most of our patients find they can return to their daily routines straightaway, though some prefer to take the rest of the day to relax at home.


The length of the treatment is going to depend on the area of the skin being treated. Nevertheless, the average treatment usually takes approximately 30 minutes.


One of the great things about this treatment is that the downtime for patients is minimal. Once you have had the treatment, you can apply (ideally mineral based) makeup after 48 hours. For a few days after the treatment, do not be concerned if you see micro lesions. This is normal. You may also notice a slight redness to your skin for around a week after you have had the treatment as well.


This depends on the concern being treated. For light concerns, results can be seen within a week. The major improvements are typically seen within the first three weeks, with optimum results within 3-6 months.a
